omg i totally agree i mean i remember del amo being a calm place but now since this whole stupid "jerking" "skinnies" epidemic started all ghetto teens are invading it specially black people i mean come on not trying to be racist or anything but dear lord if you guys just had manners and respect maybe white people wouldnt be talking crap about yall ! get a clue! im 17 and i most definetly dnt act immature and stupid just because im a teenager! there is a limit to everything! so no the white people arent bothered by you guys its just your manners and how rude you guys act! grow up! being cool doesnt mean everything!
I never go to the Del Amo Mall at night anymore. I'm not a racist,but I will be called one for being honest. The mall is filled with black teenagers and you get the feeling that one look or stare will trigger off a rage. Too dangerous for me. I don't even shop during the day there as the store merchandise are trashed. It's a real shame but I go to another city to shop and they get my tax money. Torrance is going downhill fast and Del Amo mall is leading the charge. Big mistake that TPD was pulled out of there. Wonder which gang will take over.
I agree. These are not friendly, neighboring city visitors. They come with an attitude. They walk down the hallwalls hooting, yelling walking 5 wide, just to let you know they're here and waiting for someone to ask them to quiet down. Or maybe they just don't know how to act in a civilized manor. Security is usually all huddled together near a quiet spot.

oh wow, it is not just black kids. how come everytime theres a problem its always ONLY the black kids. like there isnt rude white or hispanic or asian kids. get over yourselves, teens in general are rude so dont stereotype them by race, Ive met rude teens in all races. and Ive met nice kids in all races. you white ppl and your thinking that your kids are saints and some of them are the worst. I would know, im 17 and live/go to school in the torrance area. maybe ur too old to be at the mall in the first place, mall=teens!

I used to like browsing there in the afternoons always felt safe. Remember, ELAINE,( if you still have your job w/ the developers )? So WHAT if the mall posted a 'code of conduct'? The thugs can't/won't read it, LOL!
The mall looks like a garrison on the outside and a mishmash of vendors on the inside. Hey, Del Amo why don't you have Santa arrive in the Great Pumpkin and combine all the holidays into one? He, and the elves, and the snowmen can all do the Turkey Trot and thoroughly confuse us all in your quest for our dollars.
I won't be spending a penny at Del Amo this season or any other for that matter.
You guys obviously dont remember going to the mall as a teenager yourself. The mall is great and teens can afford most the stores. You'd be surprised. Most of these remarks are borderline discrimination. Commenting on the types of races that congregate the mall. It makes me sick that you people think its turning ghetto when its just diversifying. You cant help what kinda people live in the area. Just because the mall scene is "ethnic" DOES NOT make it ghetto. Think before you speak. Inconsiderate Assholes.
Indeed we're all hit by bad economy, and it just goes to show how incredibly prejudiced the populace had remained in order for them to label all faults to minorities such as me. I am greatly disappointed that the people older than me think this way, seeing as I had assumed those who are a lot more mature can have a greater capacity of understanding people of other races too. I mean does it unnerve you when there's a black man or latino or filipino or chinese man in your midst, despite the fact that they're not doing anything wrong?(than perhaps betray your sensibilities for your are not accustomed to thinking that someone that's not white and is wearing casual clothes associated to where they live is a not potential criminal, which is what I see most of the common mindframes of the people here are). Do you think that white people are immaculate compared to other races, solely because of how our "trusted" media always depicts minorities as being inferior to the white race? Personally, nobody is superior, and all I know are two races people who are assholes to me and people who are not assholes to me.
Del Amo Mall turned into what it became because of the economy, not the race and "ghetto" BS people kept spouting. I don't care what race you are or what clothes you wear you are scum for thinking your race is better than others regardless of what you wear or what mask you use to hide your prejudiced nature.
When Del Amo announced the new area several years back I was hoping it was an opportunity for them to upgrade Del Amo to a standard like South Coast Plaza. I have been a Torrance resident for 40 years and spent a lot of my teenage years at Del Amo. HOWEVER, I stopped shopping there when the atmosphere changed. What I mean by that is while I am walking to my car I don't need to hear someone's loud radio (in a piece of crap car) vibrating throughout the parking structure, I don't want to see someone's ass because they can't wear their pants appropriately, I don't want to be bumped into because several people are walking 5 to 6 across and are rude by making me go around them, I don't want to hear your conversation on your cell phone because you want everyone to look at you, I don't need to hear the cussing and swearing that is yelled back and forth and I don't need the nasty looks and omments I get for having 4 year old biracial triplet boys. My family and I always shop at South Coast Plaza because if any of the above things happen at SCP, the security will escort the trouble makers from the property. My husband and I do not work our asses off to provide a good home to our children in Palos Verdes to go to our local mall and suject our children to the idiot behavior at Del Amo.
I didn't think that I would be commenting on any of these but after readin a majority I think I must. Each and every one of you has made some sort of racist,[url=http://www.sport.fr/economie/airmax.html]air max pas cher[/url], indecent, and naive comments. Not all Mexicans go out and get pregnant and have alot of kids. Sure it happens, but it happens in ALL ethnicities. But even looking at the "white" side, us Hispanics haven't done the greatest job proving these people wrong with our posts. Get over yourselves all of you, if you don't want to shop at the Del Amo mall don't, nobody is forcing you. Last time I checked this was a free country. Knock of the stereotypes and deal with what is happening in your own lives. Keep up all this stupidity and we will just end up hurting ourselves in the process.
